The little suit that could.

This is art, a woman's body should be celebrated. Curves create shadows and reflect light to tell stories. Beautiful tales.
Beautiful love songs.

I can't help it but when I see a vintage swimsuit or bodysuit I immediately need to buy it. It works with almost anything, especially high waisted or by its self at the pool. Bikinis are sexy but I think a high cut on your thigh and an open back screams sex appeal.

I bought this "snake skin" swimsuit at one of my secret thrift shops for under two bucks.

I went over to my good friend and fashion photographer Angel Alfaro's studio to shoot for his upcoming coffee table book. He captures women's bodies the way they were meant to be seen. Even his nudes would never be called trashy or glam. Just raw, beautiful art. No makeup, no hair products (obviously) yet these are by far my favorite shots in a long time. When you are comfortable in your skin, your surroundings and confident there's no way you could be wrong.

We also took a stroll outside in literally my underwear and my moto boots. Here is the rest of the shoot. Hope you like!

Floral Prints

One think I've learned is that you can wear anything you got damn please as long as you feel good in it. I love mismatching prints but still saying in the family. It reminds me of the denim on denim look but with more color of course. This could go wrong if the colors are too bright or the pattern on both pieces are too bold. Especially when doing floral like this, it's better to keep the colors breezy and light. I'm wearing my flat boots that I stole from my sister ages ago and both pieces are thrift store finds. Thank ya goodwill—you may smell funny at times but you rock.

STELLA DOTTIR

My real life Icelandic fairy god mother. Stella Dottir is everything you'd want in one and so much more. Her art pours into her daily life and I'm always excited to go to Stella's show room since I met the designer/artist years ago. Her store, which is more of a home for the fashion inspired and the neighbors throughout downtown LA is also the home for her beloved kitties that will roam in and out. Reminding me of a French boudoir with paintings she has laid out that she paints after having beautiful visions and dreams—Stella designs her pieces after old Hollywood glamour mixed with 20s inspired lace and cuts. Any glamour girl back then would be ecstatic to wear. Except I personally am dressed by Stella and get to try on a one of a kind dress made from vintage fabrics, Stella sat back in her chair to delight in her creation.
I was with my photographer Jeff Linett that day, so you know we shot almost immediately the moment we left the store.

Thank you Stella for being amazing and I hope to be just like you when I grow up.
